It seamlessly came into existence on 5th September 2020 upon the elevation of erstwhile Pondicherry Engineering College - PEC (established in the year 1985 under the 7th five-year plan) with the University status. The sprawling 210 acres beautiful campus of the institute equipped with the best of breed infrastructure provides an excellent environment to the students and scholars towards pursuing their academic education and research. The institute offers eight undergraduate, eleven post graduate and Ph.D programmes in the major disciplines of engineering and technology. Every year the college admits 450 students in UG programmes; 173 in PG programmes; 30 in MCA programme and 10 in M.Sc. and M.Phil. Material Science programmes. Currently, around 400 scholars are pursuing Ph.D. in various disciplines in the campus. Placement News Campus Placement Drive for 2023 Batch Started from 1 st August Congratulations to all the placed students of 2023 batch! Campus placement for the current IV year B.Tech. and II year M.Tech/MCA/MBA/M.Sc. students has been started. The 2022 batch campus placement process started successfully with Delta Electronics India Pvt. Ltd . Delta Group is the world’s largest provider of switching power supplies and DC brushless fans with offices worldwide and manufacturing plants in Taiwan, China, Thailand, Mexico, India and Europe. Delta selected 15 of our Third Year B. Tech students belonging to Mechanical, ECE, EEE & EIE departments for a package of Rs. 5.0 LPA . The selected students will undergo industrial training cum project for a period of 6 Months from January 2022 in the company premises. Principal Prof. K.
